Zane is proud to join the Loyalist team with years of experience in government relations, at Queen’s Park, and in non-profit political outreach. Zane comes to Loyalist from Extendicare, one of Canada’s largest health care organizations. While in the Government of Ontario, Zane served for three years in various roles in the Office of the Minister of Energy, Northern Development and Mines and Minister of Indigenous Affairs. Before politics, Zane began his professional career embarking on a cross-Canada tour, helping people in minority communities to get involved in the electoral process.
Zane is the proud board chair of Conceivable Dreams, Ontario’s patient advocacy organization dedicated to equitable fertility care. For his work in advocating for equitable parental leave and ensuring Canada’s latest time-to-attach legislation included parents by surrogacy, Zane was named Fertility Matters Canada’s 2023 Changemaker of the Year. He was the founding co-chair of the CJPAC Fellowship Alumni Association and has served as the Vice Chair of the Long-term Care Association of Manitoba. His dedication to his community led to him being awarded a King Charles III Coronation Pin in 2024.
Zane has an undergraduate degree from Carleton University’s Arthur Kroeger College of Public Affairs and a Master’s degree in Global Diplomacy from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in the UK. Zane’s vast experience in stakeholder relations, strategic political outreach and government relations consistently delivers effective solutions for clients. He is based in Toronto.
